A Nigerian woman named Esther has shared her harrowing experience of narrowly avoiding a dangerous encounter with Timileyin Ajayi, a gospel singer and suspected fraudster recently apprehended for the brutal murder of his alleged girlfriend in Abuja.
In an interview with well-known blogger Tosin Silverdam, Esther recounted how she was drawn in by an advertisement on Telegram, where Timileyin Ajayi purportedly sought singers for a karaoke event.
As an aspiring singer looking for new opportunities, Esther reached out to Timileyin Ajayi, who informed her that the participation fee was merely ₦500 and provided a venue for the gathering. Ultimately, she chose not to attend, a decision that likely preserved her life.
In her words, “He told me to come to his place, promising to make arrangements for me. I almost fell victim to Timileyin Ajayi, as we were about to meet before the incident occurred, simply because I wanted to participate in the singing.”
Esther’s disclosure follows extensive coverage regarding the arrest of Timilehin Ajayi, who was apprehended while in possession of what is believed to be the severed head of his alleged girlfriend, concealed within a plastic bag.
Authorities are persistently conducting their investigation into the alarming crime, as numerous Nigerians are calling for heightened vigilance and awareness regarding safety in response to the incident.
