Nigerian artist and songwriter, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, also known as Spyro, expressed great joy after spending time with his inspiration and senior colleague, 2Baba.
Spyro, known for his innovative music, took to social media to share a video of his delightful moment with 2Baba at a fancy restaurant.
In his post, he described the ‘African Queen’ hitmaker as his mentor and revealed that he had always looked up to 2Baba, whose real name is Innocent Idibia.
Spyro also recounted a story of almost getting expelled from school for sneaking out to buy 2Baba’s second solo album, ‘Grass 2 Grace’.
Filled with happiness from his recent meeting with his mentor, Spyro expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunities he has been given, saying, ‘Na who fuck up, give up’.
He captioned the video, “I can’t even form o… I literally learnt this p as a kid watching him… I almost got expelled for sneaking out of school to buy GRASS2GRACE album then”.
