“I almost unlived myself over fake news” – Actress Eniola Ajao

Eniola Ajao, a well-known Yoruba actress and filmmaker, has disclosed that false information circulating on social media nearly pushed her to the brink of self-harm.

She shared this revelation during a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio, where she recounted the emotional turmoil she experienced as a result of the misinformation.

Ajao expressed that this distress significantly impacted her mental well-being, ultimately causing her to retreat from social engagements.

“I almost poisoned myself because of news about me on social media that was far from true. It was the first time in my life to faced something so painful that I couldn’t eat for seven days. I didn’t go anywhere. People around me can testify to it.

“My sisters were calling, telling me, ‘You have to do this for yourself. You don’t have to poison yourself.’ My son was reaching out to everyone that I was struggling with the online lies.”

In other news, Prominent Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has announced that she is entering her Phoenix era.

The phoenix, a legendary bird, is believed to rise anew from its ashes, representing themes of immortality, renewal, and life after death. It is often illustrated as a stunning bird adorned with vibrant feathers and an elongated tail. In both Greek and Egyptian mythology, the phoenix is linked to the sun god.

Tiwa shared this revelation during an open interview on Beat FM, where she provided insights into her personal journey and professional endeavors.

“I’m in my Phoenix era. I have a phoenix tattoo on my neck. I have gone through the fire, and it is like a reinvention. I am coming out stronger in terms of love, heartbreak, and where I am in life. I’m now at a stage where I accept certain things, set boundaries, and be happy with my achievements. This is the rebirth of Tiwa Savage,” she declared.

The artist known for her song ‘Forgiveness’ also discussed her most audacious act for love.
