“I am innocent” – Daddy Freeze says as court upholds N5M fine over adultery with a married woman

Daddy Freeze, a controversial OAP, responds to the Appeal Court’s decision to impose a N5 million fine on one Paul Odekina, who was married to Benedicta Elechi at the time an adulterous conduct was committed.

On February 18, 2021, a High Court of Rivers State sitting in Port Harcourt ordered Daddy Freeze to pay N5 million for adultery with one Benedicta Elechi.

Daddy Freeze, dissatisfied with the High Court’s decision, filed an appeal, but the case was dismissed and the N5M fine affirmed.

Addressing the claims of infidelity with a married woman, the OAP claimed on his live broadcast that they were false.

He contended that he did not commit adultery with another man’s wife, while criticising those who said he did based on the court’s ruling.

“I will pay the 5 million naira adultery fine; my watches alone cost over 100 million naira, but I am innocent, and I will not lose; I am innocent; this happened many years ago. I was going through serious torment, so was the lady, and we both jam many years later in church; this happened over 12 years ago,” he said in part.
