Hilda Baci, known for her Guinness World Record and culinary skills, recently stated that Nigerian Jollof rice was superior, claiming Ghanaian Jollof lacked flavor. This comment irritated a certain Ghanaian woman, who reacted angrily on social media.
The woman criticized Baci, claiming that her accomplishments do not automatically make her an expert on food taste. She accused Bassi of being careless with her words and disrespecting Ghanaians who admired her.
Furthermore, she questioned the foundation of Baci’s culinary preferences, implying that Baci’s own cooking, which is heavily reliant on curry and onions, may not be the standard for flavorful food.
The woman’s reaction became more fervent when she proposed a Jollof rice cook-off against Baci, certain of her victory.
She also brought up the origins of Jollof rice, recognizing Senegal’s role in its history. She emphasized that each country’s version of Jollof rice is valid and flavorful in and of itself.
Baci was recently dethroned by a man named Alan, who set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time as well as the longest baking time. Alan broke two records at the same time, effectively ending Baci’s reign.
