Portable has finally dispelled the speculation regarding a potential rift with British-Nigerian rapper Skepta.
Previously, Portable had expressed dissatisfaction with Olamide, his former mentor, for allegedly prioritizing Asake over him.
However, during a live session on Instagram, Portable clarified that his relationship with Skepta is fundamentally different.
He commended Skepta for being a true supporter, noting that Skepta has had a profound influence on both his life and career.
Portable acknowledged that Skepta has opened doors for him, facilitated connections with key individuals, and offered financial assistance.
He stressed that he would never betray Skepta’s trust, cautioning critics against misinterpreting his statements and endangering their bond. He further explained that his grievances with Olamide were rooted in feelings of being undervalued and disappointment, rather than any intention to betray him.
He said: “I say make Olamide sign me back then, why Olamide no sign me? Why he no believe in me? My helper? Na wetin pain me be dat. I only believe in him. He helped a lot of people , if he told me to sign a contract, I would have signed it, that’s what I’m saying.”
