“I can’t drive in Nigeria without police escorts” – Singer Tems

  • R&B star Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, believes she is extremely famous in Nigeria.
    • In a US podcast interview with Big Boy TV, Tems mentioned that her celebrity status can sometimes hinder her movements in Nigeria.
    • Last December, she nearly got mobbed while driving in Lagos.

R&B artist Temilade Openiyi, widely recognized as Tems, has expressed her belief that she enjoys significant fame in Nigeria.

During a podcast interview with Big Boy TV in the United States, Tems remarked that her celebrity status occasionally hinders her ability to move freely within Nigeria.

She recounted an incident from last December when she nearly faced a mob while driving in Lagos.

As she explained, her popularity necessitates the presence of police escorts whenever she drives in Nigeria.

“I used to drive in Nigeria, but now I can’t drive. I almost got mobbed last December. If I want to drive, I must have police escorts at the front and the back,” she said.

Tems acknowledged that she has faced challenges with her fame, particularly as an introvert, but has since adapted to her circumstances.

In other news, A nurse took to social media to vent her frustration after a husband said he wouldn’t feed his wife.

This was in response to advice to avoid intimacy for a month because of her childbirth stitches.

In her post on X (formerly Twitter), she described a case involving a patient who had an episiotomy.

The woman was brought back to the hospital by her husband because her stitches had started to come undone.

As they entered, the husband was angry, blaming the hospital and the nurses for poor stitching.

At first, the nurse thought he was genuinely concerned for his wife’s well-being, but her opinion shifted after speaking with him.

She recounted, “I’m so irritated. My patient had an episiotomy, and her stitches got loose, so she came back for suturing today.”

“Her husband was screaming and insulting the nurses on duty, claiming we didn’t do our job right, all while we tried to calm him down.”

“After the procedure, he expressed his anger, saying we didn’t understand how this situation would affect him. He declared he would sue us, stating, ‘This is my wife, not my girlfriend.’ At first, I thought he was genuinely worried about her health.”

“However, when we told him he shouldn’t have sex with her for a month, he shockingly replied, ‘That means she no go chop now.’ I almost died when he said that, and his mother was laughing like it was a joke. I was furious! He kept insisting he ‘needs’ her and that we had ruined his chance to relieve stress.”

The husband openly said that if his wife didn’t show intimacy, she wouldn’t get to eat.

As her post went viral, many worried people filled the comments to express their opinions.
