Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor, has come out in support of the Mbaise community, countering negative preconceptions.
On Instagram, he addressed accusations that people should fear those from Mbaise, calling a stop to such falsehoods.
Yul Edochie recounted his own experience, noting that everyone he has encountered in Mbaise has been kind to him.
He praised the great hospitality he got while filming in Mbaise, expressing thanks for their friendly attitude.
He wrote:
“I don’t know who started this ‘Fear Mbaise people’ idea, and why, it should stop.
I must say this all the Mbaise people I’ve met in my life have been so good to me.
When I filmed in Mbaise the hospitality I received was awesome.
Mbaise people have been very good to me.
I say it everywhere”.
