Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, widely recognized as DJ Cuppy, has suggested that she may be considering stepping away from her career.
In a post on her X account, Cuppy articulated that while DJing has always been her passion, she feels a strong inclination this year to elevate her endeavors and create a more significant impact.
“DJing is my passion, but tbh this year has felt like a whole new experience, like I’m meant to level up and make a bigger impact.. Only God knows what’s next,” she stated.
In response to her announcement, a fan encouraged her to return to DJing, expressing dissatisfaction with her current direction.
“Start DJing again. I have missed your vibes on IG. I don’t like the new you at all,” he wrote.
DJ Cuppy replied, “I don’t like the old me at all.”
Recently, the music artist released a gospel mixtape following her baptism earlier this year, claiming that she received divine inspiration for the project.
In other news, May Edochie, the former wife of actor Yul Edochie, discusses her reasons for saying no to movie roles, even when the pay is substantial.
According to GistLover, May Edochie made her Nollywood debut in Omoni Oboli’s film, ‘Uprising,’ which came out last month.
In an exclusive chat, May Edochie mentioned that she turned down generous offers from prominent Nollywood filmmakers.
May Edochie shared her reasons for passing on attractive movie roles, highlighting her skill in handling different types of work.
She revealed that she almost declined Omoni Oboli’s offer to act in ‘Uprising’ before ultimately agreeing to join the film.
“For the past two years, I’ve received scripts, movie roles, and mouth-watering offers, but I rejected everything”, May Edochie stated.
Speaking further about her versatility, May Edochie said, “‘I’m a master of all trades, and there’s a whole lot I can do if I put my mind to it”.
