Davido, Nigerian Afrobeat singer, clears the air on stories of his purported detention during a gig in Kenya.
On his Instagram story, the “Unavailable” singer denies false claims of his arrest that spread online on April 1st.
He reminded his fans that the rumors are completely false, as he successfully finished his scheduled gigs in Uganda and Kenya before returning home to Nigeria.
The musician also stated that he has never been arrested for a crime anywhere in the world, including Nigeria, America, and the hundreds of nations where he has lived during his career.
He remarked that fabricating claims of such worldwide crimes was exceedingly irresponsible, regardless of the fact that it was April Fools’ Day.
His lawyer, on the other hand, is presently pursuing legal action against the media outlets responsible for spreading false information about him.
