Nollywood actress Yetunde Bakare has advised Nigerians on what to do before staging protests after recent development.
Nigeria has entered a new dispensation as the INEC declared Tinubu the new president of the country. In regard to this, the actress implored Nigerians to carefully consider the implications of participating in civil unrest, especially in light of the possible consequences.
Yetunde Bakare raised important questions about personal circumstances that could be adversely affected by participating in protests, such as having dependents, being financially secure, and having access to legal representation. She also highlighted the harsh reality that for many individuals in Nigeria, their next meal depends on their daily income.
Bakare urged Nigerians to think rationally and make wise decisions before engaging in activism. She emphasised the need to weigh the benefits and risks of participating in protests and be aware of the potential personal and societal consequences.
She wrote: Before you join them to cause Civil Unrest …. I hope your mama Children plenty ? I hope you’re well connected and can afford a Very Good Lawyer that can defend you against Federal Government also Incase it’s leads to a week or 2 lockdown, hope you and your family won’t starve … Remember some people’s next meal depends on their daily income 😓👌
So think with a clear head and Please choose your Battles Wisely 🙏
May this New Government Favour me and my loved ones in Jesus name 🙏
May the Almighty Allah Guide our footsteps and bless us beyond human reasoning and whatever we lay our hands upon shall surely Prosper 🙏, She penned.
