I Lost Myself After Mum’s Demise – Wizkid

Ayodeji Balogun, the renowned Nigerian singer known as Wizkid, is still grieving for his mother, Mrs. Jane Morayo Balogun. This sadness is evident in his recent song with Asake, titled ‘MMS.’

In his verse, Wizkid expresses his deep feelings, revealing how his mother’s passing has changed him.

He mentioned that he felt he “lost” himself after her death but eventually discovered his purpose.

Wizkid’s mother, Jane Morayo Balogun, passed away on August 18, 2023, in London.

On her birthday, July 4th, he shared his feelings, saying his life feels empty without her. He expressed that he misses her daily and that his heart will always be broken.

A Nigerian businessman named Yakuk Ishaq shared that he married his second wife on the day she was born.

He explained that in 1993, he went to the hospital with his mother to see a friend who had just had a baby, not realizing that 31 years later, that baby girl would become his wife.
