During his appearance on the Girls Aloud Podcast, Kalybos elaborated on his motivations for marrying his wife in spite of the public disapproval he has faced.
He refuted the idea that prolonged relationships necessitate marriage, asserting, “Being in a relationship for a longer period doesn’t mean you have to settle with the person no matter what.”
Reflecting on a previous relationship with his former girlfriend, Frimpomaa, with whom he shared several years, Kalybos indicated that he did not consider her a suitable life partner, despite their serious commitment.
“I married my wife for money and a British passport, just as everyone is saying,” he remarked with sarcasm, noting that he has yet to obtain a British passport.
