‘I never planned to be artiste, life played out’ – Singer Young Jonn

Nigerian musician Young Jonn has stated that he became an artist by accident.

In a recent interview with Revolt, the producer-turned-singer stated that he never intended to become an artist, but life happened.

“I never really planned to be an artist, but life played out,” he said.On his transition from producer to artiste, Jonn said, “It was a learning process. It’s a whole different ball game. It’s a whole different hustle, grind and business.

“It took me time, but I think I’m getting hold of it.”

While finding his footing as an artist, Young Jonn said Olamide, Kizz Daniel and Lil Kesh inspired him.

Jonn worked with Olamide’s YBNL Nation early on in his career, producing many songs for Lil Kesh, Olamide himself, and other artists on the label.

In other news, Jide Kosoko, a veteran Nollywood actor, has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s performance during his last year in office.

The actor reiterated that he has no regrets about voting for Tinubu, adding he is “doing very well” despite the difficulties of rebuilding a shattered economy.

Kosoko expressed his ideas during a recent interview “Curiosity Made Me Ask” with Bae U Barbie.

Kosoko stressed that restoring the economy is a difficult and time-consuming task.

He reiterated his support for Tinubu, emphasizing their longstanding relationship and Tinubu’s contributions to nation-building.

Kosoko emphasized Tinubu’s contribution in Nigeria’s campaign for democracy, saying his name should not be left out of the list of people who fought for the current democratic system.

The host asked: “People that voted for Tinubu do you think they should be bullied?”

Kosoko replied: “That is their own business. Their own cup of tea. I am entitled to my opinion. I love the man I voted for. And I know he is doing well.

“He is doing well. If only you know how repairing things are, you will understand that he is doing very well.

“I voted for him because I have known him for a long time. And I have seen quite a lot of his contributions to nation building.

“You cannot even talk about this present democracy that we are all enjoying without saying Tinubu’s name among the people that struggled for us to have it.”
