Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has dismissed social media claims that he asserted his father must complete an eight-year term.

A viral post suggested that Seyi boldly claimed nothing, not even God, could stop his father from serving two full terms.

The post included the statement, “My Father Will Complete His 8-Year Tenure – Nothing Can Change That. Not Even God.” and implied that Nigerians had the chance to oppose his father before he took office but did not, making any current opposition seem pointless.

In response, Seyi took to Instagram Stories to refute the claim, stating he never made those comments and distancing himself from the post.
