A former contestant of Big Brother Naija and actress, Erica Nlewedim, has expressed that she now lives according to her own desires.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, she emphasized that social media often portrays artificial lifestyles, and she has learned to transcend the opinions and actions of others in that space.
“I now live my life outside of social media and what people say there, because that’s how to live. I live my real life because social media is not real life. So, I block out negative talks, listen to my inner thoughts and follow what I want to do at a particular time. So, whoever is doing that is doing well”, she said.
Regarding her dedication to cultivating a more fulfilling life, Nlewedim remarked, “I think reality shows are getting better; from the cash prices which are now interestingly bigger to every other thing. There was time for me to do a lot of acting, brand deals, and invest the money I have made into a business.
“Now, I think that it is time for me to live my life with a little more balance, adding a little of Erica is still a young girl she is not always working but she is actually living and enjoying her life and also doing business.
“So, I am not relying on entertainment industry money because there is more money from business out there. And then I am doing entertainment as a hobby now and it’s making me fall back in love with it because I am not doing it under pressure anymore.”
