Darasimi, the estranged spouse of comedian Ganiu Morufu, known as Ijoba Lande, has publicly refuted allegations of infidelity directed at her, asserting that she did not engage in sexual relations with Baba Tee.
In an interview with socialite Esabod and several TikTok influencers on Sunday, Dara clarified that her only interaction with Yoruba actor Babatunde Tayo, also known as Baba Tee, involved sitting on his lap during a “Truth or Dare” game organized by her friend, Marygold.
Her husband had previously claimed in a widely circulated interview that she had been involved with at least 21 men within the entertainment sector prior to their separation. Baba Tee was among those he specifically mentioned in both an Instagram post and the interview.
Nevertheless, Dara firmly denied any acts of infidelity, maintaining that such behavior was not the cause of the dissolution of their marriage.
She recounted the events, stating, “The first time I met Baba Tee was in July last year when Marygold asked me to accompany her to his house because she wanted to invite him to her movie launch. When we arrived, Baba Tee didn’t know I was Lande’s wife. We greeted each other, and Marygold said she wanted to drink alcohol.
“There was no alcohol in the house, so Marygold and Baba Tee’s driver went to buy some while I stayed in the living room. Baba Tee and I didn’t speak until they returned. When Marygold came back, she suggested we play ‘Truth or Dare.’ I was hesitant, but she encouraged me. Before we started, I told Baba Tee that I was Lande’s wife.
“As the game went on, Marygold stripped naked and gave Baba Tee a BJ. By then, I had already taken 10 shots of alcohol, while they were smoking ‘Igbo.’ Marygold then dared Baba Tee to give me a doggy style, so he went to get a condom.
“When he returned, I told him I wouldn’t allow doggy, but I would sit on him. We then told Marygold to turn to the wall so she wouldn’t watch us. I only sat on his lap; we didn’t do anything.”Dara maintained that Lande knew she didn’t sleep around and challenged him to provide evidence of infidelity.
“I won’t disclose the reason we broke up for now due to personal reasons, but it wasn’t about infidelity,” she added.
Baba Tee has acknowledged engaging in a short sexual liaison with Dara, asserting that it was an error influenced by alcohol consumption.
The 45-year-old actor also expressed his apologies to Lande on Facebook this past Monday.
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women,” he wrote.
