“I should have spoken to Sound Sultan before his death”– Burna Boy Regrets

Grammy Award winning singer Burna Boy, expressed remorse for not talking with Sound Sultan prior to his passing.

Recall that on July 11, 2021, throat cancer claimed the life of Sound Sultan, whose real name was Olanrewaju Fasasi.

Many Nigerians paid their respects to him on social media on Monday, the first anniversary of his passing.

Burna Boy claimed he should speak with the Naija Ninja on the final track of his ground-breaking new album, “Love, Damini,” which is currently making waves.

He also expressed regret for procrastinating talking to his late grandfather, Fela’s manager Benson Idonije, until it was too late.

He sang, “I should have talked to grandaddy before it’s too late.

“I should have talked to Sound Sultan more before he died. I should show people more love while they are still alive.

“I should always know the way my people feel inside.

“I’m trying to be a better man, I’ve been trying, I got it all but I still got my anger.
