A man was deeply disappointed when he returned home from Canada to find that his wife had used the millions he sent while abroad to build nothing more than a mud house.
The individual named as Ongiri expressed his disappointment after discovering his house was incomplete despite having sent huge amount of money for its construction.
While he was abroad, Ongiri sent a large sum of money to his wife to help him build their dream home.
However, when he returned, he was astounded to discover the house incomplete and the money seemingly misused.
Ongiri revealed on the Brighton Thee PL YouTube channel that he sent roughly KSh 150k (equivalent to N1,773,513) for specific purposes, such as purchasing windows, but the intended building did not materialize.
Ongiri expressed his sadness, lamenting his trust in his wife, whom he had thought to be reliable.
“I truly thought I could trust her and that she was the one for me. I didn’t know she could do this,” the heartbroken man said.
He said that he had not included his mother in his dealings with his wife and had entrusted her with the money without suspicion.
Ongiri’s attempts to contact his wife and enquire about the whereabouts of the money and the status of the house remained unanswered.
“I tried reaching her yesterday and demanded to know where my house is and the money for investments that I had sent her. I also called her, but my calls went unanswered,” he said.
In a frantic attempt to obtain accountability, Ongiri confronted his wife, seeking an explanation for the misappropriation of funds.
A message displayed during the interview revealed that the couple have one child.
In the first video shared by the YouTuber, the wife admitted to fooling her husband about the state of the house construction.
“The photos that I sent of an ongoing construction are from my neighbour. But you should forgive me. I am your wife,” the woman said as the man broke into tears.
