Afropop musician Oxlade has opened up about his former belief in secret cabals in the music industry.
The ‘Kulosa’ singer thought these hidden groups had a say in the success of artists.
But after a chat with a friend, he changed his viewpoint.
Oxlade now sees that a person’s beliefs can shape how they perceive their reality.
According to him, “One’s belief births whatever happenings surrounding them.”
He mentioned that after thinking about the idea, he no longer feels restricted by any supposed industry groups. He now believes that success comes from personal choices, attitude, and the journey one chooses to follow.
The artist mentioned that he feels strong and not bothered by the idea of groups of powerful people. He said he has reached a stage in his career where even those he used to see as part of these circles now want to connect with him.
“I used to believe they existed until I heard something somewhere that it is what you agree to that will actually happen so I don’t feel like I’m affected by any cabal anymore, I feel like I’m at a stage where cabals even want to roll with me.”
