Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage has revealed her intentions to establish an empire that will solidify her position among other self-made women globally.

In an interview with Forbes, the 45-year-old shared that this aspiration has been a long-held dream since her teenage years.

Reflecting on her school days, Tiwa expressed:

“When I was in school, there were basic subjects like math, English, and there were also electives like sports, drama, music – I chose drama and just even from earlier on, I knew that I had a gift for acting. Even when I started my music career, I knew, at some point, I was going to go back into that field,” she recalls to FORBES AFRICA via a Zoom call.

“Growing up in Nigeria, then moving to the United Kingdom and studying jazz in America, I absorbed different musical influences,” she explains.

“I can do a jazz record, a garage song, or an Afrobeats track, and it all feels authentic. I have lived these experiences.”

“I want to go into my mogul era”, she said with conviction.

Tiwa Savage has expressed her numerous aspirations, which encompass the establishment of a school or scholarship initiative aimed at educating emerging artists in the field of music.

In other news, Popular media personality, Radiogad, has raised alarm after allegedly receiving threatening messages from Afrobeats superstar Davido over his recent criticism of the singer’s upcoming album.

    What Happened?

Radiogad had earlier taken to his Instagram page to slam a snippet of Davido’s forthcoming project, claiming the album was subpar and even suggesting that the singer quit music to pursue tailoring instead.

His comments didn’t sit well with Davido, who reportedly slid into his DMs, warning him to stop mentioning his name and platform. The leaked messages, shared by Radiogad, allegedly show Davido issuing severe warnings about further criticism.

    Radiogad’s Response

Reacting to the situation, Radiogad publicly declared that if anything happens to him or his family, Davido should be held responsible.

    In his words:

“Davido came into my DM last night and threatened to k**l me… If anything happens to me or my family, let it be known that Davido is responsible. As a social commentator, I have the right to express my views on social media, and I am not scared of anyone. Evidence of his messages is attached to this post.”

    Public Reactions

The post has sparked heated debates online, with fans divided over whether Davido went too far or if Radiogad crossed the line with his criticism.
