Renowned singer May D has addressed the dissolution of his marriage to his Swedish wife, discussing the factors that contributed to their relationship’s decline during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, he shared that he was previously married to a girlfriend who frequently visited him in Nigeria. He mentioned that Sweden was the final destination of his tour, prompting him to stay there for an extended period due to his girlfriend’s origins.
May D explained that during their marriage, he primarily assumed the role of a stay-at-home father, caring for their child while his wife was engaged in her professional commitments. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic left him stranded in Nigeria, unable to return to Sweden. The resulting tension and uncertainty during that time ultimately led to the end of their marriage.
