Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, better known by his stage name Spyro, is a Nigerian musician who recently penned an open letter to the memory of his mentor Sound Sultan, who passed away on July 11, 2021, in the United States after a battle with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
Spyro acknowledged Sound Sultan’s enormous contribution to his success in a recent Instagram post.
Spyro claimed that without his mentor, he could not count his blessings.
He thanked Sound Sultan for all he had taught him and expressed regret that he was not present to see his success.
“I MISS YOU mentor … I cannot COUNT MY BLESSINGS without you. Today thoughts of how you fed me, clothed me and accepted me when nobody did come rushing back.
“I remember a night we were to go for an event and I, as usual, came so unkept and fashion-less but while others laughed at me, you went up to your room and brought your cloth down for me to wear.
“I wish you are here to see all that is happening. I remember how I would always tell you I would make you proud and it’s sad you ain’t here now . Thank you for all you taught me and did for me … Till we meet again jest on in power.” He wrote.
Spyro, a soaring singer, is receiving blessings in abundance as he acquires two mansions.
The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ singer, who gained popularity in particular after including Tiwa Savage in a remix of a popular song, has invested millions in two properties.
Spyro revealed that he and his business partner had bought two homes in a post on his Instagram account.
He noted how God had been so good and kind to him as he counted his blessings.
“FROM ZERO TO OWNING A PROPERTY…AH I #COUNTMYBLESSINGS BIG TIME. I DIDN’T JUST BUY FOR MYSELF. I BOUGHT THE OPPOSITE UNIT FOR MY BUSINESS PARTNER TOO. GOD HAS BEEN GOOD AND KIND TO ME.
@PREMIUMHOMES1 ON THIS ONE”.
