  • This revelation was made in a recent interview with Hip TV.

Singer Korede Bello talks about why he left Mavins Records, where he was signed to from 2014 to 2021.

In a recent interview with Hip TV, he shared that he wanted to focus on his personal growth and artistic goals, which made him decide to leave the label.

Korede Bello expressed that he feels more like a product for sale than an artist discovering his real value and passion.

He recognized that chasing popular hits and seeking approval from others can take artists away from what is truly important in their artistic journey.

In his words:

“I was at a season in my life where I needed to metamorphose, to explore my inner worth, to do introspection, understand myself, understand meaning more, and reconnect to my why.

“Because I was at a stage where I started to feel like a product that is just there [at Mavins Records] to make money.

“You lose sight of what matters when you chase after the next hit, after the next whatever it is that can get you into conversations. So a lot of artists are addicted to that circle.”

Korede Bello had recently shared his thoughts about working with Don Jazzy at Mavins record label.

In a touching post on his X account, he expressed his gratitude and respect for his former boss.

The “Godwin” singer took to social media platform to share his feelings, praising Don Jazzy’s character from their days in Mavins and beyond.

Korede Bello’s tribute was heartfelt, showing deep appreciation for the renowned music producer.
