Ayo Makun, a top comedian and actor in Nigerian movies, has revealed more details about his beef with Basketmouth.

After several years of not speaking to one another, Basketmouth called AY because of an incident, according to AY.

The comedian said in an interview with Chude Jideonwo that Bright Okpocha has never apologized for anything in the history of their friendship.

AY continued by saying that he was shocked when Basketmouth contacted him to clarify a recent post that many people took to be a dig at the former.

The 30 Days in Atlanta actor said:

“A while ago, he posted about how people go online to show off cars and other things they bought. Incidentally, I posted a ride I got my wife two days to that tweet, so people went on his page and were like, “This must be referring to AY” and for the first time, while I was in London, Bright called me and was like, “Guy, see wetin I dey hear o, people are relating what I posted to you, it has nothing to do with you.” I was so happy; I mean he practically called me!”

When AY Comedian returned to Nigeria, he assumed everything was fine and called Basketmouth about a show of theirs that happened to fall on the same day, according to AY Comedian.

He claimed that he sent samples of skits for Basketmouth that they could use to promote both shows, and he was surprised when he received no response.

The father of two continued by saying that anyone associated with Basketmouth is canceled because he has influenced the “canceling culture.”

Either one or the other person must do it.

“You’re my guy by fire by force” – AY dedicates song to Basketmouth during his show

Ayo Makun, the renowned stand-up comedian and actor, used his AY Live show in Lagos on Sunday, April 9th, to playfully pay respect to his colleague, Basketmouth.

AY can be seen and heard singing along to Spyro’s famous song, ‘Who Is Your Guy,’ in a video from the event that is circulating online.

However, AY changed the lyrics of the song to dedicate it to Basketmouth, stating that he is his guy. The comedian could be heard screaming Basketmouth’s name as he walked on stage.

AY’s stunt comes amid a series of interviews granted by the comedians as regards their sour relationship. While Basketmouth categorically stated in Nedu’s Podcast that he isn’t friends with AY neither is he his enemy, AY appears to be pushing things.
