I Was Sexually Assaulted By 17-Year-Old Jimmy Bennett – Asia Argento

Asia Argento has accused Jimmy Bennett — the former child star who accused her of sexually assaulting him when he was 17 — of sexually assaulting and then extorting her.

According to Asia Argento, Jimmy Bennet is lucky she didn’t file charges against him.

You’ll recall, Asia Argento is the Italian actress and director who was a leading figure in the #MeToo movement. Asia was one of the first actresses to publicly accuse disgraced Miramax producer Weinstein of sexual assault.

The world was shocked when news emerged that she had sexually assaulted a 17 year old child actor, Jimmy Bennett and secretly paid $380,000 hush money.

According to Bennett (pictured above left) in his notice of intent to sue the actress, Argento (right) slept with him in a California hotel room when he was aged 17 and she was 37 which caused mental health issues and crippled his career.

Argento, 42, was accused of luring Bennett to her California hotel room in 2013.

Once there, she sent away his chaperone, plied him with alcohol and showed him her love letters before kissing the teen.

The Italian actress, who is 20 years his senior, then pushed him onto the bed where she performed oral sex on Bennett before climbing on top of him and having sex with him.

Bennett, who once played Argento’s son in a movie when he was seven years old, filed his notice of intent to sue in November 2017 – just one month after Argento came out publicly against Weinstein.

Days after the news broke, text messages between Asia Argento and a friend, where the actress admitted she had sex with underaged Jimmy and it felt weird emerged.

TMZ published the texts, including one that reads: ‘It wasn’t raped but I was frozen. He was on top of me. After, he told me I had been his sexual fantasy since was 12.’

One day later, Argento denied ever having sex with Bennett.

TMZ then published an image that showed Asia and Jimmy Bennett in bed in a Marina del Rey hotel room back in 2013.

According to TMZ, the photo was taken after Bennett and Asia had intercourse. The pair are seen in the picture on a bed shirtless, their heads on a pillow and their arms entangled.

In a new breaking report this morning, Argento’s lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, says those text messages tell the real story about what went down at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Marina del Rey, CA.

TMZ reports:

The text in question read, “The horny kid jumped me … I had sex with him it felt weird.” She goes on to say she was “frozen” when he was on top of her.

Heller says:

“Asia chose at the time not to prosecute Bennett for sexually attacking her.”

As for her statement after the story broke — “I have never had any sexual relationship with Bennett” — Heller says she was being honest because it was a one-time only encounter and not a relationship.

Heller goes on to claim Bennett smelled a payday and tried to extort Argento, especially when he found out she was dating Anthony Bourdain.

He says Bennett “chose to intrude on that relationship and demand financial payment from Bourdain in consideration for not embarrassing Asia and indirectly Bourdain …”

Heller says Anthony chose to protect Asia by agreeing to pay $380k even though she did nothing wrong.

And, Heller says, Bourdain paid $250k up to this point, but Argento will not pay the balance.

Heller ends by attacking Bennett, saying:

“Asia does not intend to prosecute Bennett for his conduct and recognizes that his unfortunate past, his stalled acting career, and a lawsuit against his own parents for allegedly misappropriating more than a million and a half dollars from his account might explain his desperation to seek money from Asia and Bourdain for this falsely alleged incident that took place more than 5 years ago.”
