Ruben Onuha, a young billionaire and co-owner of the Icon clothing brand, has caused a stir online by stating that he will never buy his father a house because he feels his father does not deserve it.
In a viral interview that is trending on social media, the 23-year-old entrepreneur shared his thoughts, leading to a lively discussion among internet users.
During the recent meeting, Ruben explained that he can get his father small things like clothes, meals, and plane tickets, but he can’t buy him a big item like a house.
He noted that his father never bought him anything as a child, and that’s how the world works.
He mentioned that he could get a house for his mom, although he wasn’t sure she would be interested.
In his words, “I will not buy my dad a house, I can give him everything clothes, traveling tickets, rent things for him but I will never buy things for him that he never deserve. I never got anything from him when I was young. The world does not work like that. Normal things of course I don’t mind. Such big things, I think you only need to give things like that to people that deserve it. Maybe something like that I can buy for my mum but I think she does not even want it.”
