  • Burna Boy, typically paid 3-4 million dollars for a single music show, stated that if paid that much, he would never attend another show.

Nigerian comedian and actor,  Bright Okpocha, widely known as Basketmouth, is astounded at the amount Grammy winner Burna Boy receives in performance fees.

He added that Burna Boy is normally paid between $3 and $4 million for a single music concert, but if paid that amount, he will never attend any show.

Basketmouth said; “Burna Boy is paid 3 to 4 million dollars for a single performance. If they pay me that for a show, that will certainly be my last show”.

According to Burna, he rejected the contract since he would not have been able to use his favourite substance (weed) in the United Arab Emirates.

The self acclaimed African Giant revealed this in a video that went viral on social media during a freestyle practice with his band, Outsiders. Smoking is prohibited in Dubai’s parks, beaches, and other public recreational areas under Emirati legislation.

“Just now I turned down Dubai money, 5 million dollars na small thing cos me I no dey like to dey go where dem no go gree allow me smoke igbo… Shey na till dem tell you,” he sang.
