A Ghanaian man who borrowed £15,000 (N30.7m) to travel to the UK has spoken on  his 14-hour work day to pay off his large debt.

The man, Paul Akoto Agyeman, revealed in an interview with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa the difficult journey he followed upon landing in the UK to repay a £15,000 debt.

According to the individual, after arriving in the UK, he took on multiple jobs, working long hours every day to maximize his profits and minimise his expenses.

He described how he dedicated himself to the task, using practically all of his salary to quickly pay off the debt and prepare for his family’s migration.

Reflecting on his future ambitions, the man stated that he wants to provide his children with prospects for growth and prosperity in the UK.

However, he expressed a wish to someday return to Ghana and start a business.

When asked about the potential of relocating to Ghana, the father stated that he would prioritize his children’s education and well-being in the UK before considering a return to Ghana.
