“I worked hard to reinvent myself and I am very proud of it” – Hermes replies Biodun over his new accent

Hermes Iyele, a model and former Big Brother Naija housemate, responded to Biodun Stephen when she questioned his British accent.

Remember how the BBNaija star took to Instagram to criticize a particular bank for making him appear silly at an event?

He claimed to have received an invitation to a bank party, but that his name was missing from the guest list, so when he got there, security wouldn’t let him inside the venue.

To make matters worse, the bank organizers took no action to safeguard his good name. The award-winning director Biodun Stephen was confused by the reality star’s distinctive accent.

In the blog’s comment section, she asked where his British accent came from.

Now Hermes answered her, telling her that he had reinvented himself despite growing up in a ghetto.

He says he is pleased with the person he has become and that he worked very hard to better himself.

He said: “Those of you complaining about my accent, I know how much hard work I put into reinventing myself. I know exactly where I come from, to be exact, it’s a slum. Imagine the amount of hard work I put into this. I talk like this, and I am very proud of it. I can say it anywhere”.
