During a concert, popular Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold paid tribute to sickle cell survivors worldwide.
The singer took a minute to honor individuals fighting sickle cell anaemia, noting that he is also a survivor.
Adekunle Gold said that he has had sickle cell disease his whole life, having been diagnosed at birth and grown up with it.
He expressed thankfulness for his ability to manage it because he plays all over the world and has never been sick.
Using himself as an example, he advised everyone afflicted by cancer to never give up and never let the condition keep them from achieving their life objectives.
Afterward, Adekunle Gold dedicated his song “5 Star” to them while performing it on stage.
