A video of thugs warning voters in Fadeyi, Lagos, not to leave their homes if they won’t vote for the ruling APC party in the governorship elections, has been shared online.
In a video, the thugs are seen walking together in an otherwise empty street while making their threats.
“If you no vote APC, no come outside o,” they warned.
This is the latest threat to voters coming from thugs supporting APC, after series of attacks on candidates of other parties and a particularly disturbing threat from MC Oluomo who warned Igbos to stay at home if they will not vote for APC.
The Nigerian Police Force Spokesperson, Adejobi Olumuyiwa, later said Oluomo’s threat should be taken as a joke.
