Man alleged to be a fake lawyer, has broken his silence amid controversy surrounding his judicial cases.
Brian Mwenda Njagi, a Kenyan man accused of being a phony lawyer, has broken his silence amid controversies surrounding his judicial cases.
He was accused of practicing law without the requisite credentials and of winning all 26 cases he handled before Magistrate, High Court, and Court of Appeal Judges.
Mwenda, who was recently revealed and detained, has stated his willingness to let the courts decide his fate, albeit he has promised to prove his innocence.
In a viral video, the young man claimed that he cannot discuss the contents of his court case since investigations are continuing and it would be “prejudicial” for him to speak to the media.
However, he conveyed his gratitude to supporters have rallied behind him since the news of his alleged legal impropriety broke and went viral.
“I will like to convey my gratitude to the people who are supporting me and those that are praying for me. In the fullness of time, I will be able to clear this misunderstanding.
“I will also be able to prove my innocence and to provide the actual context to what is really happening. It should be inconceivable for anyone to think that I have all of these prowess to hack into portals.”
When asked what his future plans are, the alleged fake lawyer talked about his desire to venture into politics.
He said: “It makes me feel privileged, lucky, and blessed and perhaps the next member of parliament for my constituency.”
