On Tuesday, February 13, One Farouk Solihu brought his girlfriend Kehinde Garba before an Area Court in Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, Kwara State, claiming she had falsely accused him of impregnating her.
Solihu told the court that Garba lied that he was responsible for her pregnancy.
“She was impregnated by another man. She reported me to the Civil Defense Corps and Security of Nigeria (NSCDC). “She claimed that I had impregnated her to the NSCDC, but I am aware that I did not,” he stated.
Garba replied to the court, stating that she intended to deny paternity and that Solihu was to blame for her pregnancy.
As she is in a position to provide clarity on the matter, the sitting Judge, Malam AbdulQadir Umar Garba, instructed the parties to get ready for proof of claims.
According to Umar, the defendant must produce a legitimate document, a witness, or both to demonstrate that Solihu was the responsible for her pregnancy.
He put the proceedings on hold until March 19, 2024.
