Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh has dared Dowen College over the death of Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student of the college.
Kemi Filani News earlier reported that the story went viral on social media on Wednesday after a Twitter user, who claimed to be the boy’s cousin, recounted his version of the story.
He claimed that the student was killed after he rejected attempts by some boys to make him join a cult group.
However, in a statement on Wednesday 1st December, the school’s management debunked the claims stating the student was injured while playing football with his colleagues.
Tonto Dikeh, in a post shared on her Instagram page, said she’s coming to the school authority after gathering all the facts and history of the misfortune.
According to Tonto Dikeh, children cannot go to school to be great and end up 6feet below because that’s not why they are sent to school.
She wrote: Dear Dowen college I have been informed, I am coming… I am just gathering all the facts and history of this misfortune together then we will talk…
Don’t go on where, our children can’t go to school to be great and end up 6feet below. Godforbid that’s not why we trust schools.
