I’m Going Back to YBNL – Excited Lyta Reveals in New Interview

In a recent interview that has left tongues wagging, rising Nigerian music prodigy Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim, better known as Lyta, broke a bombshell: he is officially returning to YBNL, the powerful recordheaded by music entrepreneur Olamide Gbenga Adedeji.

This revelation comes after years of public drama, rumor, and anxiety about his contentious exit from the music label in 2019, which shocked the Nigerian music industry to its core.

Lyta’s departure from YBNL was far from quiet; it was a full-fledged spectacle. The young star’s departure from the company that propelled him to fame became a heated subject of discussion, with reports of a massive feud between him and Olamide filling the air.

Fast forward to 2024, and Lyta has been making headlines once again after a video surfaced, capturing an electrifying moment between him and Olamide at a buzzing nightclub.

The video, which quickly went viral, showed the two artists linking up for the first time in years, sparking wild speculation that a major reconciliation was in the works.

Fans were quick to deduce that the YBNL boss might be considering welcoming Lyta back into the fold, sending the internet into a frenzy.

In a recent chat with media personality Esther on The Esther Show, Lyta finally addressed the swirling rumors. The singer, looking noticeably more mature and confident, shared how the much-talked-about reunion with Olamide happened.

According to Lyta, it all went down thanks to a mutual friend who got wind that Olamide was hitting the club that night. Seizing the golden opportunity, Lyta made sure he was there for the encounter.

But of course, the burning question on everyone’s mind remained— was Lyta really going back to YBNL?.

Initially, the singer played coy, hesitant to reveal too much. However, after some persistent nudging from the show host, Lyta finally confirmed what many had been hoping for—yes, he’s making his way back to YBNL.

The singer added that Olamide himself had reached out and discussed the idea, and after much consideration,

and he agreed to rejoin the label that kickstarted his career.
