Nigerian singer Emoseh Khamofu, known as Bloody Civilian, has changed her statement after declaring she is a lesbian.
On Saturday, January 25, she posted on her official X account, saying, “I’m actually a lesbian. Can’t hide it anymore.”
The post quickly drew a variety of responses, especially criticism from most people. Some users on social media claimed she was promoting “abnormality” and having a bad influence on teenagers.
A critic commented, “Came to a space where we have teenagers, and you’re portraying abnormality. If you’re gay or lesbian, keep it to yourself.”
Another user speculated the announcement was a publicity stunt, writing, “Whatever project you want to drop, make sure it’s a bloody hit, if not, there might not be another chance.”
Hours later, Bloody Civilian retracted her statement, explaining the context. She tweeted:
“I’m not a lesbian. I was on a game show. But still hold your woman tight sha.”
The singer announced that the game show will start on February 7. This news has caught more attention, with some fans feeling confused and others appreciating her fun personality.
