Jessica Martin, a nurse from the US with Nigerian and German roots, is worried about being rejected in Africa due to her light skin.

She mentioned that she wants to relocate to Africa but fears she won’t be accepted because of her fair complexion.

Her comments sparked different reactions, with many questioning if she thinks there are no light-skinned people in Africa.

“Hello!! I’m really interested in moving to Africa. I’m Nigerian and German. I’m scared I won’t be accepted because I’m so light. What are your thoughts on this? And what area would I fit. I’m a nurse here in the USA,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

In other news…The unexpected passing of Nigerian gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, known as Aduke Gold, has triggered many responses on social media as fans continue to grieve.

Her brother has revealed that she did not die during surgery, as many have speculated.

On August 13, Yemi Sonde, an Ibadan-based OAP, stated on his program that Aduke Gold died while undergoing fibroid surgery.

After Sonde’s announcement, a video surfaced online featuring the gospel singer’s brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, discussing her passing.

The pastor shared that Aduke Gold started her music journey in his church and mentioned that she was suffering from cervical cancer. He also advised people to verify information before spreading rumors.

Additionally, he stated that they have received her death certificate from the hospital. Pastor Ajayi commented on the situation:

“Whoever is saying what is not should just stop that, our daughter was ill, she had cervical cancer, she was taken to UCH Ibadan and unfortunately, she died. and to the glory of God she rested on a Monday, August 12. Contrary information spreading around is false.”
