“I’m sorry, didn’t know it’ll go viral” – Girl tenders apology as parents watch her iPhone 8 request reaction video

On TikTok, a Nigerian lady known as @prettyy..yorubagirl_ has issued a public apology to her family and anyone who may have been upset by a recent video she released online that captured her parents’ reaction to her desire for an iPhone 8.

GISTLOVER earlier shared a tale about a Nigerian woman who asked her parents for an iPhone 8 as a birthday present.

In response to her plea, her father, as shown in the video, denied and told her to focus on more important matters.

He even urged that she use unusual measures to obtain the iPhone.

Several hours after the initial video was posted, the young lady apologized publicly to her father and anybody else who may have been affected by the video.

She expressed regret for requesting the iPhone at the time, as well as recording and publishing their emotions online, adding that she had not anticipated it gaining so broad attention.

In her statement, she said, “I’m making this video regarding my previous video where I asked my dad for an iPhone 8. I want to publicly admit that what I did was wrong.”

“I shouldn’t have asked for the iPhone at that moment, and I shouldn’t have recorded their reactions and posted it. I thought it was just a normal content video; I didn’t expect it to go viral.”
