It’s pouring congrats on the family of Nollywood legend Taiwo Hassan, often known as Ogogo, as his daughter Shakirat has become a mother for the first time.
Shakirat, an actress and creator, came to social media on Saturday, February 24th, to announce the happy arrival of her kid.
Kira, as she is fondly called bears a striking resemblance to her famous veteran actor father.
On Instagram she expressed gratitude with a caption accompanying a photo of the newborn baby’s hand, announcing:
“Alhamdulilah, it’s a boy.”
Ogogo also celebrated the birth of his grandchild an hour after Kira announced the arrival of her baby boy.
He took to Instagram to celebrate the newest addition to his family, calling himself the “latest grandpa in town”.
He wrote:
“Which of the favour of my creator can I deny, none. For all who seek such happiness, may Allah bless you with your desire.
“As for me, you can call me latest grandpa in town. @lawalyusuf24 congratulations to your duo @kira_taiwo And for all my pillar, assistant mother .. adupe.”
Celebrities like Afeez Owo, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Oshin and Bimpe Akintunde congratulated him in the comment section of the post.
Kira, born Shakirat Taiwo married her footballer husband, Lawal Yusuf in 2023.
