“I’m tired of the constant misinterpretation of words” – Rudeboy on P-Square spilt

Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has chosen not to comment on the ongoing conflict with his brother Peter from the P-square duo.

“All we see publicly is ‘Oh, the duo has separated and they can’t settle, but personally as a human being in quiet moments. How do you feel that you can’t work out?” Adesope asked.

Rudeboy shared his frustration, saying he prefers not to talk about the conflict to prevent his words from being misinterpreted.

‘I’m going to say something and I’m sorry. I know it’s a show but I’d rather not say anything. I’m tired of this twisting of statements; you’re a fan of Psquare and it’s my family. So why would I say something now that would turn into something else? Let’s stick to the Rudeboy,” the singer replied.

This comes after he disclosed that the P-square duo had parted ways again on August 1, 2024. Paul added that Peter had filed a complaint against him and their older brother Jude Okoye with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which subsequently summoned him. In the interview, Paul stated that the EFCC investigated and cleared him of any financial misconduct.

In response, Peter addressed Paul’s public comments in an open letter, claiming that Paul’s interview damaged their shared legacy and his personal contributions to the group. He emphasized that he is not competing with his twin.

The argument in public has drawn attention from Nigerians at home and abroad. Peter Obi, a politician, has visited the brothers one by one to help mend their relationship.
