Elisha Haruna Embugishiki, the Imo State Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) commandant’s chief security officer, passed away in a tragic vehicle accident on Sunday.
He was traveling on Makurdi Road on Wednesday from Owerri to Jos, the capital of Plateau State, when the tragedy happened.
The news was confirmed to LEADERSHIP by CSC Chimeziri Lowell, the Imo State command’s public relations officer.
According to report, the deceased officer was taken to the hospital but was declared dead there. He has been laid to rest at a morgue.
Officers at the NSCDC Imo command have expressed shock and sadness over Embugishiki’s passing, bringing the tragedy to a close. There are countless prayers going up for his soul to rest.
