Lawyer Deji Adeyanju has aimed criticism at Mahmood Yakubu, the head of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), following the recent loss of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.
He pointed out weaknesses in Yakubu’s approach to managing elections, drawing a connection to the problems seen in Nigeria’s electoral system.
Adeyanju suggested that Yakubu should either turn off the U.S. electoral server or tamper with the election results, as is claimed to occur in Nigeria.
Posting on X, the lawyer wrote: “INEC can still save Kamala. What INEC cannot do does not exist. They can switch off the server or change results on IREV
“Yakubu will now be screaming on top of his voice, GO TO COURT.”
On Wednesday, Trump of the Republican party was named the winner of the US presidential election.
He triumphed over Kamala Harris from the Democrat party with a big win.
This makes him the first president to hold a non-consecutive second term after enduring two assassination attempts and a criminal conviction.
