Debbie Mark, an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has reacted to allegations of electoral manipulations.
The young lady was reportedly part of the INEC staff deployed at a polling unit in Rivers state.
Taking to her Facebook page, Debbie shared pictures of herself in her INEC ad hoc staff garb, expressing gratitude for contributing her quota in the peaceful presidential election processs.
Few days after the election, a viral screenshot of Debbie enquiring about the current exchange rate of dollars, in a Facebook group, has garnered massive reactions and backlash from Nigerians online.
Many alleged that she had engaged in one electoral misconduct or the other that had probably earned her the cash.
Debunking the allegations, Debbie Mark, took to her Facebook page, said the money was given to her by her father’s cousin.
She wrote:
“Please why are u guys posting my pictures?
What’s all this about?
I posted $100..Yes not gotten from whatsoever place but from my dad’s cousin abroad. So I don’t know why am explaining myself for my own money??
