Social media influencer and content creator Enioluwa Adeoluwa recently expressed his admiration for his father, Professor Olufemi Adeoluwa, on his Instagram page, recognizing him as a mentor, source of motivation, and guiding influence in his life.
In a touching post, Enioluwa included photographs of himself alongside his father and emphasized Professor Adeoluwa’s impressive academic accomplishments.
He posted, “How My dad assumed the role of Provost at the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, and within just one year, he and his team transformed it into a University. On the 8th of March, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology will hold its very first convocation.”
“I’m immensely proud to call Prof my father, but even more proud of the incredible impact he has made and the countless lives he has touched and transformed.”
To pay additional tribute to his father, Enioluwa published another post emphasizing the inspiration he has received from Prof. Adeoluwa over the years, encouraging his followers to partake in the celebration.
His caption read, “My Dad has been a Professor for 16 Years. He’s taught me everything I needed to know about academics, leadership and humility.
“I often ask, ‘Dad, at what age did you finish university? He’d proudly say, ’21 with a 2:1. And I’d respond, “Well, I finished at 19 with a First Class! His Masters at 23 and mine at 21. He started his PhD at 33. I started at 24.
“Then he would say, “But I’m a Professor, and you’re not. That’s why I want to be a Professor so that when he says that again, I can say, ‘I am a Professor too!’ Join me in honouring Prof. O.V. Adeoluwa-an incredible father, mentor, and trailblazer.”
Enioluwa further underscored the significance of education in reaction to a remark, stating that “School isn’t a scam. Even if you don’t end up directly using the knowledge, it’s important to have it for when the opportunity arises.
“Beyond academics, school teaches invaluable life skills -time management, completing tasks, life scheduling, coexisting in groups, and collaborating with others. It’s about more than just what’s taught in the classroom, Go to school.”
