45-year-old veteran Nigerian actress, Rita Dominic has taken to social media to lament about the country’s high rate of insecurity.
Kidnappings, assassination’s and other violent crimes are on the rise across the country, as security outfits seems stretched by the surge of criminal activities.
Most recently, 200 students were kidnapped in Niger state, while a former High court judge was killed.
Rita Dominic, who seems not too pleased with the development, took to her official Twitter account, stating clearly that the country is slipping into anarchy.
According to her, elected leaders should work harder to stop the tension going around the country.
She wrote:
“I am afraid that we are watching Nigeria slip into anarchy. It is surreal. Our elected officials need to work harder to douse the tension in the country. We need peace to reign. Harassing and killing innocent citizens can never solve anything.”
