The International Criminal Court, ICC, has reacted to the statement by the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, where he threatened that any foreign Official that dares to interfere in Nigeria’s internal affairs, shall be returned back to their countries in ‘dead’ body bags.
The statement has stirred up much tension nationwide and worldwide, with the United States, US, United Kingdom, UK, European Union, EU, and other international bodies, being put on notice of the Governor’s rather reckless statement.

Reacting quickly to the Governor’s statement, the ICC reminded the Governor and other Political Leaders, that it still has jurisdiction and control over Nigeria and her affairs, while warning the Governor to stay clear of such inciting words that could result in real violence, as the 2019 general elections approach.
