The International Police (Interpol) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has finally broken their silence on the arrest of Nigerian big boy Hushpuppi.
Interpol on Friday June 12 confirmed the arrest of Hushpuppi and his accomplishes as earlier reported. The Commissioner of police for Interpol Garba Umar, confirmed the arrest and disclosed that, the police are working out to deport Hushpuppi and his accomplices to Nigeria to face charges of fraud.
Garba Umar also disclosed that Interpol is currently working to fish out other accomplices who are not yet identified to bring them to book to face the music.
“It is true that Hushpuppi was arrested by the Interpol. We are currently working on bringing him to Nigeria to face charges of fraud. Some of the offences were committed here in Nigeria and he has to answer for them. He is not alone in it; there are accomplices in the country who we are currently on their trail” the CP stated.
Hushpuppi was reportedly arrested by the FBI and Interpol together with his friend Woodberry who was accused of hacking into United States database of unemployed citizens. Hushpuppi and his friends have been accused of allegedly defrauding the US of over $100 million.
