Invest In Your Future Not The Church- Pastor Tells Members

Shepherd-in-charge of Celestial Church of Christ Global Genesis Parish, Israel Oladele Ogundipe has sent a word of caution to his church members to put their priorities first and plan their future by investing their money in assets before they invest their money in the church.

According to the pastor, a church member who becomes impoverished and departs the church will be forgotten, but another member who has money will keep giving to the church. He advised his congregants to take wise decisions and invest their monies well before they invest in the church.

However, Prophet Israel Ogundipe, recently regained his freedom after he was charged with fraud.

Prophet Ogundipe was spotted leading praise and worship in video shared on the Instagram page of the church. According to The PUNCH, Ogundipe was granted a conviction bail by the Court of Appeal in Lagos after considering issues of his health condition on April 1.

Recall that the popular prophet was sentenced to one-year imprisonment by Justice Olabisi Akinlade after he was charged with seven counts charges bordering on fraud and obtaining money by false pretenses.

According to reports, Ogundipe defrauded a London based architect, Mrs Oladele Williams-Oni and the amount involved was a whooping N17 million between August 30, 2002 and 2005.

Justice Akinlade sentences the prophet to one-year imprisonment and ordered him to pay a sum of N11m to the complainant when he was found guilty.
