The “current safety and security situation” in Israel has resulted in no UEFA-organized match taking place “until further notice,” the organization that oversees European football announced in a statement on Thursday.
“The UEFA executive committee decided that no UEFA competition matches shall be played in Israel until further notice after a thorough evaluation of the current safety and security situation in the whole territory of Israel,” the statement stated.
